SCANGRIP becomes part of CAS

Nürtingen/Svendborg, May 2021: When it comes to powerful work lights, many professional users rely on SCANGRIP. The Danish company based in Svendborg is Europe's leading manufacturer of LED work lights and now ensures full luminosity within the Cordless Alliance System (CAS). "We want to offer our customers the most powerful range of work lights. Our claim is therefore clear: we get the maximum luminous power and duration out of our products. In doing so, we are clearly focusing on rechargeable batteries, because we are developing and producing the work lights of the future," says Anders Borring, owner and CEO of SCANGRIP. "With CAS we have a powerful battery technology and at the same time we can offer our customers access to many strong brands and their products - worldwide. The bottom line is that one battery fits all." The Danish company brings a total of six different battery-based work lights to the multi-vendor battery system initiated by Metabo. "SCANGRIP is a great asset for us. We have been in contact for a long time and are pleased that we now have another partner with products of the absolute top class, which will help us to advance further in the important field of lighting technology. Because battery-powered work lights are needed by every professional user - no matter what trade they work in," says Horst W. Garbrecht, CEO of Metabo.

Suitable for various applications
SCANGRIP owner Anders Borring agrees: "Our lights are therefore the ideal complement to the CAS range. They are used wherever users need to illuminate work areas." A good example is control cabinet assembly: "Control cabinets are often located in the basement or in dark rooms. There is usually not enough light for the assembly. So the electrician illuminates the area accordingly with our work light," says Anders Borring. "For the assembly of the control cabinet, he then has a whole range of other machines from the CAS programme at his disposal. If he has to crimp cable lugs or cut cables, for example, he uses the equipment from Cembre. He fixes individual elements with the cordless drill and screwdriver from Metabo. And for all these machines he only needs one battery." Another example is the sanitary, heating and air-conditioning trade: if, for example, connecting flanges for ventilation and heating ducts have to be attached, the joining press from TRUMPF is just right. The lights from SCANGRIP also bring light into the dark for this work. In addition, the machines from Rothenberger optimally complement SHK applications. "In a nutshell, this means: one area of application, different machines from the CAS range - but only one battery," says Anders Borring.

Sixfold reinforcement for CAS
The six new work lights from SCANGRIP are therefore suitable for a wide range of applications and have particularly high luminosity. The new NOVA 2 CAS LED construction light achieves up to 2,000 lumens, is particularly compact and can be easily transported thanks to a carrying handle. The two new battery-powered floodlights NOVA 4 CAS and NOVA 10 CAS achieve up to 4,000 and 10,000 lumens respectively. The worklights are particularly robust and therefore ideally equipped for use in the toughest conditions: for example, in wet, cold or dusty conditions. As a real lightweight, the third construction spotlight in the group, the AREA 10 CAS cordless work light, is easy to transport. The light achieves up to 10,000 lumens. Professional users can choose between a beam angle of 180 degrees or 360 degrees. This allows both the work area to be illuminated very precisely and the entire room to be fully illuminated. Also part of the new SCANGRIP CAS range is the VEGA LITE 4 CAS battery floodlight. The spotlight has a robust, waterproof plastic housing, its powerful LED light produces a glare-free, diffused and pleasant working light and is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. The new CAS range is rounded off by the TOWER LITE CAS rechargeable spotlight with two spotlights that can be swivelled through 360 degrees and a maximum height of around two metres. The TOWER LITE CAS can be quickly and easily folded together with its tripod stand and can thus be taken anywhere.

From village blacksmith to international company
SCANGRIP was founded in 1906 as a small village blacksmith's shop in Denmark. This later developed into the SCANGRIP tool factory, which became successful with the invention of the grip pliers with one-hand operation. The Danish company has retained its innovative spirit: Since 2008, SCANGRIP has been developing and producing high-performance work lights at its own production sites and distributing them to professional users in trade and industry worldwide. Today's leading manufacturer of LED work lights in Europe is now one of currently 23 CAS manufacturers where all batteries and chargers are one hundred percent compatible and all machines and equipment can be operated with one battery.
