New cordless lawnmower and cordless brushcutter

Nürtingen, March 2021: Well-tended lawns without cables - that's now possible thanks to the powerful battery packs from Metabo. The new garden range from the Nürtingen-based power tool manufacturer starts the gardening season with, among other things, a lawn mower for large areas and two brush cutters for demanding applications. "Our new range covers the most important applications in gardening and landscaping, so tools for the professional maintenance of lawns and green areas are of course a must," says Metabo Product Manager Carina Frank.

Efficient over large areas
The new 18-volt battery lawnmower RM 36-18 LTX BL 46 is a true all-rounder: users can not only mow and eject the grass cuttings directly at the rear, but also collect or mulch them directly if required. The flexible collection bag and mulching wedge supplied can be easily changed for this purpose. "Our new lawn mower is particularly suitable for large areas of up to 800 square metres and handles them very efficiently," says Carina Frank. The powerful brushless motor and the 46-centimetre wide mowing deck ensure a high cutting performance. "At the same time, the battery lasts for a long time because the mower works intelligently and saves energy: it adjusts the engine power depending on the grass height," explains Carina Frank. Users can adjust the cutting height to seven different levels with a flick of the wrist. Thanks to the low noise level with a sound pressure level of 88 decibels (A rating), work in noise-sensitive areas is also possible. To make it easy to get the powerful mower to the place of use, it has a double folding handle and additional carrying handles. It can also be stored on its side to save space.

Powerful cuts for demanding applications
When the lawn mower reaches its limits with brushwood, obstacles or on slopes, the new powerful 18-volt battery-powered brush cutters FSB 36-18 LTX BL 40 with bike-handle and FSD 36-18 LTX BL 40 with round handle come into their own. Whether trimming tall grass, cutting thorny hedges or trimming lawn edges - the brushcutters with their brushless motors and 40-centimetre cutting circle deliver powerful performance even in demanding applications. The adjustable two-handle grip is particularly suitable for working comfortably on larger areas and can be adjusted to suit body size. "With the compact round handle, on the other hand, users work efficiently even in tight spaces and around obstacles. And thanks to the stepless throttle switch, they can flexibly adjust the working speed to the respective application," says Carina Frank.
 

Comfortable working
The different tools provide even more flexibility: a double-thread reel for mowing large lawns and different blades for dense undergrowth or scrub. Users can adjust and change the string during operation by briefly tapping on it - quickly and without tools, without having to remove or open the spool. The scope of delivery of both tools includes an individually adjustable shoulder or back strap, which ensures a healthy posture by optimally balancing the working weight. Just like the lawn mower, the quiet brushcutters are also suitable for noise-sensitive environments.
 

All three devices expand Metabo's 18-volt class as well as the cross-manufacturer battery system CAS (Cordless Alliance System), in which more than 230 machines from 23 brands are currently compatible with one battery. For users, this means that they can use one and the same battery pack not only in the green, but also for their other power tools.
