New Cordless HEPA-Class Vacuum Cleaner

Nürtingen, April 2021:The new cordless vacuum cleaner AS 18 HEPA PC Compact from Metabo completes cleaning and extraction tasks quickly and reliably - and does so with fine dusts, coarse dirt or even small amounts of water.. The new AS 18 HEPA PC Compact with its HEPA filter is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers, as it reduces hazardous dusts such as plaster or lime and additionally reduces the permeability of house dust, pollen, allergens and mites. That makes it particularly suitable for allergy sufferers "The machine is small and compact - and best of all, cordless. Users can work mobile with the vacuums in wet and dry operation and are at the same time optimally protected against dusts with workplace limit values greater than 1 mg/m3", explains Metabo Product Manager Sebastian Koch.

Clean filter at the touch of a button, flexible suction power

The machine has an integrated filter cleaning system: if the filter becomes clogged with dust after working for a long time, it can be easily cleaned at the touch of a button. Metabo also offers matching fleece filter bags. This allows even the finest dusts to be collected safely and disposed of cleanly and easily. Depending on the application, it is possible to switch flexibly between Eco mode for a longer runtime per battery charge and Boost mode for maximum suction power. "If the user works on smooth surfaces such as parquet floors, for example, then the Eco level is sufficient. This allows him to fully utilise the energy of the battery pack and work longer overall," says Koch. "If more suction power is needed, then it is quick to switch to boost mode." A cap on the vacuum protects the battery pack from dust and moisture. 

For corners and edges

With the suction and crevice nozzle included in the scope of delivery, the vacuum cleaner is particularly suitable for smaller cleanings. "But sometimes even the crevice nozzle is too big for particularly narrow crevices. That's where the blowing function comes in handy," says Koch. Professional users can use it to blow out coarse wood chips, for example. You can also get into every corner with the vacuum thanks to a stretch suction hose that can be extended up to 2.5 metres. When the job is done, the hose can be quickly and compactly stowed directly back on the unit. The three-part tube system included in the scope of delivery can also be attached to the vacuum in an equally space-saving way. With the integrated carrying strap, the user can easily transport the vacuum or comfortably hang it around when using power tools. "The new cordless vacuum is small and compact and comes with everything a professional needs for smaller cleaning and extraction jobs, including filter cleaning and accessories. The bottom line: reliable companions for quick jobs in the workshop or on the construction site.
